JSA Web Store-Search Tips

* Search Menus

-	Enter a search word (or words) or select a search word in any of the screens for Title Search, Comprehensive Standards Search, JIS Search, ISO Search, IEC Search, or Publication Search and click the"Search"button to display the List of Search Results.
-	Click "Clear" to delete all entered words.
-	When the entered word is not acceptable for technical reasons but "Search" is clicked, an error message will appear on the screen. Correct the entered information in accordance with the displayed message.

* List of Search Results

-	List of Search Results displays a maximum of 20 search results per page. When there are more than 20 results, click "Previous Page" or "Next Page" to scroll through the different pages.
-	Click a link on the standard number to display more details.
-	If you need to change the search word(s) and try a new search, click "New Search" to go back to the search screen.

* Title Search

"Title Search" allows you to conduct comprehensive searches on all products handled by JSA Web Store, including standards/publications.

Search Word	Comment
Title	-Search results display standards/publications containing the entered word(s) in the titles, document titles, and product names. -You can enter multiple words with a space in between. In this case, choose "AND" in the radio button to display results including all the entered words, or choose "OR" to display results that contain at least one of the search terms.

* Comprehensive Standards Search

"Comprehensive Standards Search" will allow you to conduct comprehensive searches of JIS, ISO, or IEC standards.

Comment	* Select a standard (JIS, ISO, or IEC). * You can select multiple standards (select at least one).
Standard No.	* You can search standards that contain the entered number(s)/alphabet(s) as the standard number(s). * You can enter multiple numbers/alphabets with a space in between. In this case, the search results display standards that contain any one of the numbers/alphabets entered. Ex. Enter "723"->Search results display standards that contain "723" somewhere in the standard numbers. Ex. Enter "723 52"->Search results display standards that contain "723" or "52" somewhere in the standard numbers.
Title	* You can search standards that contain the entered word(s) in the titles. * You can enter multiple words with a space in between. In this case, choose "AND" in the radio button to display results including all the entered words, or choose "OR"to display results that contain at least one of the search terms.
ICS	* You can search standards classified into the entered ICS code. * If ICS code is unknown, click the ICS code list and select one. * If you enter "" at the end, the search results will include all standards with ICS codes that start with the code entered. Ex. Enter "01"->Search results display all the standards whose ICS codes begin with "01."

* JIS Search

"JIS Search" will allow you to conduct more detailed searches of JIS standards.

In this case, the search results display standards that contain any one of the numbers/alphabets entered. Ex. Enter "A1"->Search results display standards that contain "A1" somewhere in the standard numbers. Ex. Title	* You can search standards that contain the entered word(s) in the titles. * You can enter multiple words with a space in between. ICS	* You can search standards classified into the entered ICS code. * If ICS code is unknown, click the ICS code list and select one. * If you enter "" at the end, the search results will be all the standards with ICS codes that begin with the code entered. Ex. Enter "01"->Search results display all the standards whose ICS codes begin with "01."
Date Established	* You can specify the range of the established dates of the standards to be searched. * Search results display standards that were established between FROM and TO (including the specified dates). * Select Date/Month/Year in the combo box.
Referenced JIS Standards	* Search results display JIS standards whose referenced standard numbers that conform partially or completely to the entered JIS standard number/alphabet. Do not enter a space between the number and alphabet. * When the "front coincidence of No." is selected in the radio button, the search results display the standards that begin with the entered alphabet and number. When the "full coincidence of No." is selected in the radio button, the search results display the standards that completely coincide with the entered alphabet and number. Ex. Enter "A1" (front coincidence of No.)->Search results display standards that contain referenced JIS standards with standard number that begin with "A1." Ex. Enter "A 1" (front coincidence of No.)->No search will be made because there is a space between "A" and "1." Ex. When the full coincidence of No. is selected, enter the specific standard number, e.g. "A0001:1999."
Referenced International Standards	* Search results display JIS standards whose referenced international standard numbers that conform partially or completely to the entered international standard title (ISO or IEC) and name. Enter a space between the international standard title (ISO or IEC) and the standard number. * When the "front coincidence of No." is selected in the radio button, the search results display the standards that begin with the entered standard number. When the "full coincidence of No." is selected in the radio button, the search results display the standards that completely coincide with the entered standard number. Ex. Enter "ISO 9" (front coincidence of No.)->Search results display JIS standards whose referenced international standards contain ISO standards that begin with "9." Ex. When the full coincidence of No. is selected, enter the specific standard number, e.g. "ISO 9001:2001."
Corresponding International Standards	* Search results display standards whose corresponding international standard numbers that conform partially or completely to the entered international standard title (ISO or IEC) and name. Enter a space between the international standard title (ISO or IEC) and the standard number. * When the "front coincidence of No." is selected in the radio button, the search results display the standards that begin with the entered standard number. When the "full coincidence of No." is selected in the radio button, the search results display the standards that completely coincide with the entered standard number. Ex. Enter "ISO 9" (front coincidence of No.)->Search results display JIS standards whose corresponding referenced international standards contain ISO standards that begin with "9." Ex. When the full coincidence of No. is selected, enter the specific standard number, e.g. "ISO 9001:2001."
Status	* Select the status (Valid/Withdrawn) of standards to be searched. * You can make multiple selections (select at least one).

* ISO Search

"ISO Search" will allow you to conduct more detailed searches of ISO standards.

* IEC Search

"IEC Search" will allow you to conduct more detailed searches of IEC standards.

* Publication Search

"Publication Search" will allow you to conduct more detailed searches of publications handled by JSA.

Title	* You can search publications that contain the entered word(s) in the titles. * You can enter multiple words with a space in between. In this case, choose "AND" in the radio button to display results including all the entered words, or choose "OR" to display results that contain at least one of the search terms.
Author	* You can search publications by entering author's name (or authors' names). * You can enter multiple words with a space in between. In this case, the search results will include all the words entered.
Date Established	* You can specify the range of dates of the publications to be searched. * Search results display publications that were published between FROM and TO (including the specified dates). * Select Date/Month/Year in the combo box.
